Psychodermatology in Practice: Bridging Brain and Skin
The Psychodermatology Association of India (PDAI) organized a two-day National CME titled “Psychodermatology in Practice: Bridging Brain and Skin” on March 22–23, 2025, at Hotel Red Velvet, Patna. Attended by over 125 delegates and accredited with 8 credit hours, the event focused on the dynamic interplay between dermatology and mental health, highlighting practical approaches for integrating psychodermatology into clinical practice.
The scientific program featured insightful sessions on body dysmorphic disorder, trichotillomania, the gut-brain-skin axis, and psychocutaneous disorders, alongside discussions on sexual well-being, social media’s psychological impact, and depression in psoriasis. The event also included interactive panel discussions and case-based learning, bringing together experts from across India.
A significant highlight was the installation of the new PDAI executive team led by Dr. Koushik Lahiri as President, who outlined a forward-looking vision for the association during his presidential address.
The CME concluded on a high note with renewed commitment toward advancing psychodermatology in India through multidisciplinary collaboration, research, and patient-centered care. With its rich academic discourse and active participation, the Patna CME marked a promising beginning for PDAI’s new leadership term (2025–27).
